Tyler R. Markoff
Tyler R. “Ty-Bug” Markoff, 21, of Clarksville, formerly of Marianna, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019, in UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh, due to injuries sustained in an ATV accident.
He was born November 22, 1997, in Washington, a son of Sam and Dawn Martin Markoff of Clarksville, who survive.
Tyler was a 2017 graduate of Beth-Center High School.
He formerly worked as a mechanic for Pryor Bus Lines and was currently employed for Arches Masonry Co.
He was a member of Marianna Volunteer Fire Department, becoming a junior firefighter at age 12 and completing all training that was available to him.
Tyler loved to play softball with his brothers and on Sundays, cornhole, horseshoes and loved to hang out with his friends and family at bonfires at his uncle’s on the weekends. He dearly loved every minute he could play with his nephew, Lucas.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are three brothers, Sam R. Markoff III (Hayley) of Elizabeth, Shayne Markoff (Julia White) of Brownsville and Chase Markoff of Clarksville; paternal grandmother Joann Markoff of Waynesburg; maternal grandmother Georgianna Byrne (William Yater) of Monongahela; maternal great-grandmother Lillian Martin of Canonsburg; his special nephew, Lucas Markoff of Brownsville; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Deceased are his grandfathers, Robert Byrne and Harley “Red” Watson, and his uncle, Jerry Sewicky.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home Ltd., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, with Pastor Tim Lindsay officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
