Thomas Marchwinski

Thomas Marchwinski, 77, of Washington, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday May 14, 2019, in Washington Hospital.

He was born August 8, 1941, in Beaver Falls, a son of the late Joseph and Anna Marchwinski.

Mr. Marchwinski was a graduate of Beaver Falls High School Class of 1959.

Jessop Steel employed him as a serviceman for 40 years.

He was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church in Washington, where he married Rose Reda on June 2, 1962.

Mr. Marchwinski was an usher at St. Hilary for many years. He enjoyed all sports and was an avid Steelers and Pirates fan. He enjoyed traveling to various destinations with his wife.

Several years ago, he was a Mustang’s League Baseball coach for Brockway 7 team and coached football and basketball for the St. Hilary teams.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two children, Bernadine Marchwinski Radachy of Washington and Thomas J. (Joyce) Marchwinski of Washington. He was a proud and loving grandfather of Shalaine Marchwinski of Butler. Also surviving are a sister, Helen Sutton of Zelienople, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Stella, and two brothers, Daniel and Joseph.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home, 1290 Jefferson Ave., Washington. Departing prayers will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Friday, May 17, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 in St. Hilary Church, Washington. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
