Nancy V. Cass
Nancy V. Cass, 84, of Westland, passed away peacefully Monday, November 25, 2019, after a brief stay at Southmont, Presbyterian SeniorCare in Washington.
She was born April 1, 1935, in Westland, a daughter of the late Stanley and Ida Gourillis Sharek. On September 10, 1956 she married Charles S. Cass, who died February 27, 2002.
Nancy was a devoted mother and grandmother, who worked at the family business in Westland from a teenager to a few years ago. She was a people person who lived her entire life in Westland and attended Hickory High School. Cooking was her hobby and she loved the holiday’s, especially Easter.
Nancy was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and National Slovak Society.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Nancy is survived by her son, Stanley (Christine) Cass; three grandchildren, Ashley, Jennifer and Charles Cass of Cecil Township; a brother, Edward (Marge) Sharek of Westland; a sister, Dolores Graham of Euclid, Ohio; and several cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and sisters-in-law.
At Nancy’s request there will be no public visitation. A private family time and celebration of her life will take place in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, with entombment to follow in Queen of Heaven Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels, First United Presbyterian Church, 102 N. Main Street, Houston, PA 15342.
