Thomas E. D’Amico
Thomas E. D’Amico, 67, of Venetia, passed away peacefully Monday, November 25, 2019, in his home, following a heroic two-year battle with pancreatic cancer, with his beloved family by his side.
He was born May 28, 1952, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Carlo E. and Ethel Lou Cloud D’Amico.
Tom was a steel worker employed at Dynamet and a member of the United Steel Workers of America Local 14693. He lived in Venetia for 19 years and was Lutheran by faith. Tom was a volunteer firefighter with the South Strabane Township fire department, where he had served as chief. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve, was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan and enjoyed watching television, especially “Game of Thrones.”
Left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved daughter, Nicole (Rob) Sefcik of Canonsburg, and his dear aunt, Gloria D’Amico, and cousins Lisa (Harvey) Speer and Linda (John) Romano, all of Canonsburg.
Friends and family are welcome from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday December 2, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120. A celebration of Tom’s life will follow in Salandra’s Remembrances Tribute Center, 248 West Pike Street, Canonsburg.
