Joseph Brova

Joseph “Joe” Brova, 63, of Chester Springs, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019, in his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a five-and-a-half-year battle against cancer.

Joe was born in Washington to the late Joe Brova and Dorothy Brova. In 1977, Joe received his bachelor of science degree in accounting from Waynesburg University and was a certified public accountant.

For over 30 years, Joe worked for Sherwin Williams Company and became the head vice president controller of the Eastern Division. In his spare time, Joe loved golfing, fly-fishing and traveling. He was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan. The most important aspect of Joe’s life was his family. He was a dedicated husband, father, son, brother and friend, and will be missed by all who knew him.

Joe is survived and missed by his wife, Sheila Cullen Brova; three children, Michael, Christen and David; mother Dorothy Brova; two sisters, Marianne Foglia (Fran) and Karen Bovalina (Dominick); and many extended family members and friends.

Joe is preceded in death by his father, Joe Brova.

A viewing will be held 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday in James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 East Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. A Mass of Christian Burial will held 10 a.m. Monday, September 23, in St. Elizabeth Church, 120 St. Elizabeth Drive, Chester Springs, PA 19425, where family and friends will be received from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. Interment will be private.
