Carol Ann Chappel
Carol Ann Chappel, 64, of Washington, died Sunday, September 22, 2019, in Washington Hospital.
She was born August 3, 1955, in Washington, a daughter of the late John S. and Ellen L. Young McMullen.
A graduate of Washington High School, she was a member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church.
Carol loved attending her children’s sporting events. She also enjoyed cooking and birdwatching, especially the live bald eagle webcams. She also loved hummingbirds and her two pet parrots.
On February 14, 1976, she married Franklin Chappel, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Chris Chappel and Nathan Chappel, both of Washington; and a sister, Sherry (Roger) Mellars of Peters Township.
Deceased are two brothers, John E. McMullen and Lawrence “Butch” McMullen.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 27, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 28.
Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
