Diane Garrett
Diane Garrett, 57, of Clarksville (Pitt Gas), departed this life Tuesday, September 24, 2019, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born December 8, 1961, in Brownsville, a daughter of the late Louis Richard Lee Garrett Sr. and Ida Mae Thomas Garrett.
Diane graduated from Waynesburg Central High School June 3, 1983. She was baptized September 3, 2006, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Pitt Gas, where she served as an usher.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are three sisters, Donna Jean Cage of Brooklyn, N.Y., Marlene Bransom of Pittsburgh and Darlene Garrett of Clarksville, with whom Diane made her home; five brothers, Philip (Shirley) Thomas of Pittsburg, Calif., Louis (Linda) Garrett of Antioch, Calif., Gary Garrett of Clarksville, Dennis Garrett of Clarksville and Jeffrey (Cynthia) Garrett of Pittsburg, Calif.; one aunt, Ethel Thomas of Loganville, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Diane was well-liked in the community and will be greatly missed. Her favorite pastimes were listening to Shirley Caesar on her CD player, counting her change and riding in the car with her friend, Patty Pataski.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor; additional visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m., the hour of services, Tuesday, October 1, in First Baptist Church of Clarksville (Pitt Gas), 117 First Street, Clarksville, PA 15322, with the Rev. James C. Cherry Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg.
