Francis L. Stechly

Frances L. Stechly, 91, of Upper St. Clair, died Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at St. Clair Hospital. She was born July 8, 1929, in Brownsville, a daughter of Michael and Ann Hmel Gurchak.
She was Catholic by faith. Frances was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge #354 Cokeburg. She loved golfing (Ranger), was an avid church goer and served as an usher. Frances most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Robert Sestili of Carnegie, Eileen and Thomas Kusiolek of New Stanton; a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Robyn Stechly of Finleyville; five grandchildren, Robert (Sonya) Sestilli of Rochester Hills, Mich., Angelo (Jessica) Sestilli of South Fayette, James (Holly) Lashway of New Brighton, Zachary (Lauren) Stechly of Poolesville, Md. and Andrea (Colton) Oldham of West Newton; seven great-grandchildren, Antonio, Matija, Aiden, Enzo, Emma, Gabriel and Astrid; and a sister, Barbara Maston of Potomic Heights, Md.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore E. Stechly, in 1983; three brothers, Joseph, John and Andrew Gurchak; and five sisters, Anne Devera, Katherine Markovich, Helen Singleton, Marge Offinitz and Mary Dvorak.
Visitation and mass of Christian burial will be private. Interment in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Carroll Township.
