Betty Jean Trylko
Betty Jean Trylko, 68, of Latrobe, formerly of the greater Pittsburgh area, passed away peacefully, Monday, December 7, 2020, in the Grove at Latrobe, Westmoreland County.
She was born November 18, 1952, in Chicopee, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Paul A. and Elizabeth A. Schnupp Trylko.
Betty Jean grew up in Muse and as a young adult also lived in Harrisburg; Rutherford, New Jersey; Foxboro, Massachusetts; Austin and Beaumont, Texas. She returned home to Pennsylvania in 1984 and had lived in the greater Pittsburgh area for the past 36 years.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her brother, Paul Trylko and his wife Debbie of Pflugerville, Texas and their children, Tammy (James) Nordby, Elizabeth (Jeff) Hobson; brother-in-law, James Koehler of Bend, Oregon and his daughter, Mandy (Bernie) Cesmat and their daughter, Becca Neal.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, is her sister, Janice Ann Koehler; and nephew, Adam Koehler.
Betty dealt with mental illness, schizophrenia, her adult life. Through this she maintained her intellect, sense of humor and love for her family and friends. Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Betty is home with her Lord. She has no pain, her mind is clear and she can see the Lord.
A Catholic Blessing Service will be live streamed from Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. The service will be live streamed over Facebook and the Salandra website, where directions for viewing are on the home page, and available at 9:50 a.m. Saturday.
