Frank M. Remaley, 80, of Waynesburg, died Saturday, December 12, 2020, in his home, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born March 21, 1940, in Washington, a son of the late William Merle Remaley and Dorothy Fuller Remaley.

Frank graduated from Waynesburg High School in 1958 and Waynesburg College in 1968 with a degree in business administration. He was a veteran, having enlisted in the United States Army, and was stationed in Irwin as a Radar Operator.

Frank was employed as an engineer by Greenway Manufacturing in Waynesburg for 13 years. He then became a business owner of the Triangle Hotel in Waynesburg for nearly 25 years, where he created and perfected Thursday steak nights.

Mr. Remaley was a member of Mather Christian Church, where he served as a deacon for many years. Frank was a member of the Waynesburg Moose Lodge #461 and the Elks Lodge. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4793 and the National Rifle Association.

He enjoyed wrestling in both high school and college and later served as a referee for Little League. In his younger years, he was an avid bowler and even appeared on the television show “Bowling for Dollars.” Frank enjoyed hunting with friends. He also loved golfing weekly and traveling many times to Myrtle Beach for golf trips with the guys. Frank was especially proud of his “hole-in-one.”

Frank will be dearly missed by his family and so many friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Myra Kerr Remaley, whom he married March 2, 1985. Also surviving are his children, Mark (Jennifer) Pastoria, Valerie Mathason and Danny Lemley; and six grandchildren, Jordan Pastoria, Logan Pastoria, Emily Mathason (Michael Roque Jr.), Michelle Mathason (Corey Brown), Derek Mathason and Noah Lemley. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was especially close to his first cousin, Marjorie “Skippy” Benard.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his grandson, Tyler Pastoria; his brother-in-law, Jack Kerr; and his son-in-law, Michael Mathason.

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, visitation and services will be private with his son, Pastor Mark Pastoria officiating.

Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 N. Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, has been entrusted with his arrangements. Burial will be in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Mather Christian Church, P.O. Box 37, Mather, PA 15346, or to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
