Paul Costello, 94, of Finleyville, died Friday, December 18, 2020 in the Halcyon Senior Living, Bridgeville.
He was born July 26, 1926 in La Belle, a son of George and Mary Gaydos Costello.
Paul was a member of St. John XXIII Parish, Finleyville and a US Army veteran serving during World War II in the South Pacific. He retired with 38 years of employment from Combustion Engineering in East Monongahela.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Dorothy Costello of Washington; two grandchildren, John and M.J. Schussler; two sisters, Betty Battaglini of LaBelle, Dorothy Marinakos of NJ; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kennedy Costello who died October 29, 2014; his son Paul F. Costello who died June 2019; three sisters, Marge Lephart, Marie Puglisi, and Helen Ritsko; four brothers, Frank, John, George, and Nick Costello.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22 in the Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where a blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Pierre M. Falkenhan officiating. Committal services and interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela, with military honors accorded by the Mon Valley Honor Guard and Firing Squad.
