William D. Harmon

William D. “Dave” Harmon, 88, of Washington, passed away peacefully, in his home, with his family Sunday, December 20, 2020. Mr. Harmon was born in Upper St. Clair, a son of the late Gladys Foraker Harmon and Everett Harmon.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Mary Anne Siedle Harmon; his son, William E. (Linda) Harmon; his daughter, Rebecca J. Harmon; five grandchildren, Katherine (Christopher), Sarah (Daniel), Nicholas, Autumn, Gregory; and two great-grandchildren, Connie and Emerson.
Mr. Harmon was a graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School and the University of Pittsburgh. Dave, a building contractor, began his career with his father; together they established E. Harmon & Son, Inc. Dave was a custom home builder and land developer in the South Hills and Peters Township.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict in Germany. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 764, McMurray and American Legion Post 902, Houston.
Mr. Harmon was a member of the Chartier’s Lodge 297, a 32nd Degree member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Pittsburgh, and a Shriner of the Syria Shrine Temple of Pittsburgh.
He was a member of Peters Creek Presbyterian Church PCUSA.
Interment to be held privately with the family.
