David Thomas
David Thomas, 88, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020. He was born March 23, 1932 in Norfolk Virginia to Richard and Ida Habermier Thomas.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 68 years, Joanne Ferrell Thomas; and six children, Susan (Matt) Pope of Port St. Lucie, Florida, David (Sheri) Thomas Jr. of San Clemente, California, Patricia (Nick) Muncie of Claysville, Daniel (Melissa Martin) of Washington, Dennis Thomas and Diane Thomas of Washington; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
David was an industrial engineer with J&L Steel (Southside) in Pittsburgh for 36 years and was an avid collector of movies and records, and had a great passion and knowledge of trains.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all visitation will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held in private in Woodruff Memorial Park.
