Dorothy Stacko
Dorothy Stacko, 92, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 1, 2020, in Bridgeville Rehabilitation Center.
She was born May 3, 1927, in the Elliot section of Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Joseph N. and Rose G. Ryback Nowak.
She lived in Canonsburg since 1953 and was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. Prior to her retirement, Dorothy had been employed at Ferry Electrical Services in Washington.
On October 3, 1953, she married Donald J. Stacko, who passed away March 10, 1997.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Daniel D. (Cynthia) Stacko of Cecil and Duane T. Stacko of Pembrooke Pines, Fla.; grandchildren Jeffrey (Sangam), Lauren and Michelle; and several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was the last of her immediate family. Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are her sister, Veronica Poremba, and two brothers, Raymond J. and Joseph M. Nowak.
Friends and relatives are welcome from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsbur, 724-745-8120, where departing prayers will be recited at 11:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon in St. Patrick Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, with interment to follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
