Reed Kim “Pucky” Yarosh, 65, of Weirton, W.Va., formerly of Canonsburg, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 14, 2020, in his home.

He was born December 4, 1954, in Canonsburg, a son of the late John and Julia Ann Chicarella Yarosh.

Kim lived most all of his life in Canonsburg, where he attended St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, and he lived in Weirton for the past two years.

He was a 1973 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and had been employed as an admission recruiter for the Pittsburgh Technical Institute.

Known as Pucky by his friends and family, he was a member of the Russian Brotherhood Organization and had played softball and bowled in the Canonsburg City League for many years.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his longtime companion, Elizabeth “Beth” Rice; his brothers, John Keith Yarosh and wife Selina of Cecil and Kiprian Scott Yarosh and wife Diane of Canonsburg; his sister, Kira Lynn Rudolph and husband Kevin of Bethel Park; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Salandra Funeral and Creation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where departing prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, February 20, with funeral services to follow at 10 a.m. in St John the Baptist Orthodox Church, Canonsburg, with Father John Joseph Kotalik officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg. Panahida services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
