Larry D. “Doug” Rose, 67, of Bentleyville, passed away Monday, June 29, 2020, in Transitions Washington.
He was born February 6, 1953, in Manns Choice, a son of the late Plummer Rose and Beda Morris Rose of Beallsville, who survives.
Mr. Rose was a 1972 graduate of California Area High School and honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1974 to 1977.
Larry was employed in the delivery department of the RC Cola Company in Bentleyville for more than 10 years.
He enjoyed fishing, coloring, reading the Bible, making people laugh, spending time with his grandchildren, and especially loved his dog, Chaos.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are four children, Margie Rose of Monessen, William Rose of Ellsworth, Loretta Woleslagle (Vince) of Bentleyville and Larry “Jake” Rose (Melissa Garber); 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Marion Rose of Uniontown and Lynn Rose of Ellsworth; one sister, Vanessa Ceccarelli (Chick) of Beallsville; several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his father, is a sister-in-law, Roberta “Bert” Rose.
Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 6, in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, with Pastor Cody Alderson officiating. Military rites will be accorded by the Hancock-McCune-Horne American Legion Post 705, Centerville. Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
