Mary E. Donahoo, 77, of Marianna, formerly of Edmund, Oklahoma, died Sunday, July 5, 2020, following a lengthy illness.

She was born August 5, 1942, in Marianna, a daughter of the late T. Albert and Pearl White Donahoo.

She was a graduate of Bethlehem Center High School. She then went on to Washington Hospital School of Nursing and then to California University of Pennsylvania to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. She worked in several local hospitals and was also an instructor at the Washington Hospital School of Nursing. She worked many years at the Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma before moving back to the family farm in Marianna.

She proudly served in the United States Air Force where she earned the rank of Captain. Mary was a member of Church of God (7th day) in Oklahoma City. She loved sudoku puzzles.

Surviving are brothers, George W. (Nancy) of Marianna, James D. (Jane) of New Albany, Thomas E. (Carolyn Welsh) of Marianna; sisters, Ruth A. (Conrad) Huffman of Waynesburg and Florence H. (Ralph) Hunnell of Marianna; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, is a brother, Mark L. Donahoo.

Following CDC and Pennsylvania COVID-19 guidelines, family and close friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, July 9, in the Nichol Funeral Home, 1728 Main Street, Marianna, PA 15345, where Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jim Donahoo officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Brethren Church Cemetery. An online guestbook may be signed at www.nicholfuneralhome.com.
