Helen Jean Slosarik

Helen Jean Slosarik, 82, of Millsboro, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, July 25, 2020.

She was born August 29, 1937, in Millsboro, a daughter of the late George and Ethel Tercho Slosarik.

Helen was a 1955 graduate of East Beth High School.

She was employed as a receptionist at the Centerville Clinic for 32 years.

Ms. Slosarik was a member of the St. Nicholas Byzantine Church, Brownsville.

As her nieces and nephews would attest, Jean was a “great” aunt to all the children in her extended family. She was a devoted caretaker of her mother for several years and had spent her entire lifetime in the same house.

Surviving are two sisters, Shirley Yablonski, (Joseph “Chip”) of Bethesda, Md. and Janet Jackson (John) of Malden Centerville Boro; two nephews, Jeffrey Yablonski (Sondra) and John A. Jackson; two nieces, Alexa Yablonski-Whiteside and Lori Kubincanek (Larry).

Friends will be received from 11 to 1 p.m. Thursday, July 30, in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd., 2830 Main St. Beallsville. A Panachida Service will be held at 1 p.m. with Father Christopher Burke as Celebrant. Private interment will follow.
