Jean O. Bova
Jean O. Bova, 82, of Washington, died Tuesday, February 25, 2020, in her home.
She was born on July 4, 1937, in Scenery Hill, a daughter of the late Fred and Orpha Orum.
A graduate of Washington High School, she was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Mrs. Bova worked at Bobbie Brooks for twenty years, was the office manager at Shop N Save until 2005, and managed a personal care home in Philadelphia for twelve years.
Jean loved QVC, family vacations to the beach, going to the casino, and flower gardening.
She was married to Thomas Anthony Bova, Jr., for twenty-six years. Thomas died in 2014.
Surviving are two sons, Daniel (Diane) Bova, and Jesse (Tracy Parkinson) Bova, both of Washington; a daughter, with whom she lived, Rose Bova, of Washington; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Rachel (Eddie), Valerie (Jeremy), Crystal (Jeff), and Leandra (Daurice); six great- grandchildren, Emma, Carly, Maddelyn, Mason, Rozlynn, and Deacon; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, Thomas A. Bova III; a daughter-in-law, Susan L. Bova; and two brothers, Marlin and Ronald Orum.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., on Monday, March 2, the time of a Blessing Service, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, with Father George Chortos officiating.
Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
