William O. Koss
William O. Koss, 82, of Washington, passed away Friday, March 6, 2020, in his home.
He was born April 5, 1937, in Washington, a son of the late Andrew and Eldora Orlando Koss.
Mr. Koss was a 1955 graduate of West Bethlehem High School.
He had a 20-year career serving with the U.S. Navy.
After his military retirement, he became a plant superintendent for Joy Manufacturing working in Price, Utah, and Grand Junction, Colo.
After retirement, Bill enjoyed woodworking and yard work. He enjoyed 3-D woodworking in his home shop and won a Blue Ribbon for his bird houses at the Washington County Fair.
On September 28, 1956, he married Betty Jane Chapman Koss, who survives. They celebrated 63 years of marriage.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three daughters, Kim Eldora Koss-Johnson (Blake) of Elk Ridge, Utah, Billie Jean Koss-Daugherty (David) of Washington and Donna Kay Koss-Bradish (Sean) of Beverly Hills, Fla.; a son, David O. Koss (Abbey) of Washington; and 10 grandchildren.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a daughter, Robin Lee Finger, and a brother, Kevin Koss.
Friends will be received from noon to 1 p.m., the hour of services, Wednesday, March 11, in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home Ltd., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, with burial to follow in Horn’s Cemetery, Marianna. Military honors will be accorded graveside by the U.S. Navy and American Legion Post 705, Centerville.
