Ruthann Headley

Ruthann Headley, 61, of Lowhill, died Friday, August 28, 2020, following a five and a half year battle with ovarian cancer.

She was born May 3, 1959, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Albert and Helen Carolis Ricci.

Mrs. Headley was a 1977 graduate of Beth Center High School and was a graduate of West Moreland Community College with a degree in nursing.

She started her career as a nurse’s aide and worked hard to eventually become the Director of Nursing at Golden Living Personal Care Facility in Waynesburg. She had also been employed by Premier Health Care Center in Washington for several years.

Mrs. Headley was of strong Christian faith, compassionate, caring and loved nursing almost as much as her grandchildren. She enjoyed photography and home improvement projects.

On December 16, 1977, she married Charles Headley Jr., who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Charles Headley III (Deena) of Charleroi, Chad Headley (Christina) of Bethel Park, Richard Headley of Apollo; one brother, Albert Ricci (Lois) of Jefferson; two sisters, Donna Fullem of Fredericktown, Mariane Kara (Mark) of Brownsville; five grandchildren, Charlee, Bexton, Evangeline, Alyssa and Gulianna; one brother-in-law, Jody Fleming.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, is a sister, Diana Fleming; a brother-in-law, Thomas Fullem; and a stepfather, John McCardle.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville. Funeral services will be private.
