Cheryl Ann Rooney
Cheryl Ann “Cherri” Rooney, 65, of Houston, formerly of Bethel Park, died Sunday, August 30, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born November 26, 1954, a daughter of the late Mary Jane Anderson.
Cherri loved gardening, crafts, going to camp, her family and friends, and her dog, Lacee. She helped run, and owned the family painting businesses before working at the Meadows Casino. She was a graduate of Center Area High School and Aliquippa Beauty Academy.
For 26 years, she was married to Michael Rooney, who died May 2003.
Surviving are her sons, Ryan Rooney of South Park, Chris (Sarah) Rooney of Bethel Park; her grandchildren, Cameron, Travis and John Rooney; her loving friend and companion, Bob Dunn of Houston; her half-sister, Dawn Mathews of Ohio; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Cherri was preceded in death by her brothers, Mark and Nick Fredich.
She was an amazing, wonderful woman and will be missed by all.
