Harold J. Bittinger

Harold J. “Junior” Bittinger, 79, of Burgettstown, passed away peacefully, in his home, with his family by his side, Wednesday, March 28, 2021.
Harold was born December 4, 1941, a son of the late Russell and Virgie Greene Bittinger of Erie Mine in Burgettstown, formerly of Lonaconing, Md.
Harold worked for Harry Wagner’s Garage in Burgettstown.
He is survived by his loving wife, Billie Latshaw Bittinger of Burgettstown; three sons, Harold (Louise) Bittinger of Richmond, Ohio, Joseph (Melinda) Bittinger of Weirton, W.Va., and Douglas (Chrissy) Bittinger of Burgettstown; daughter Connie (William) Tharp; sisters Violet Wilt of Somert, Md., Lilly Work of New Castle, Rose Virden of Burgettstown, Mary Gray of Weirton W.Va., Gardenia Wolanski of Atlasburg; brother William Bittinger of New Castle; along with 24 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Daisy Bittinger McGriff.
Visitation for Harold will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 2, in Young Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 23 Erie Mine Road, Burgettown, PA 15021, telephone (724) 947-2049, www.youngfhinc.com. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 3, in the funeral home. Interment to follow at Grandview Cemetery, 931 Route 18 North, Burgettstown, PA 15021.
The Bittinger family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice Care and DaVita Paris Dialysis for their care. With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it is asked that everyone wear a face mask and/or covering and remain socially distant from one another in the funeral home.
