Miles S. Hupp, 87, of Amity, died Sunday, April 4, 2021, in Washington Healthsystem. He was born October 16, 1933, in Washington, a son of the late Moses S. and Pearl Hatfield Hupp.

He was a graduate of Trinity High School and then went on to serve in the United States Navy.

He worked for Jessop Steel for 36 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Lone Pine Christian Church. He loved to shoot pool, especially at Shenanigans. He was an APA member. He always enjoyed morning coffee with his buddies at Krency’s. Mr. Hupp was loved by many; he had an infectious laugh and could always put a smile on your face.

On May 18, 1972, he married Mary Ruth Richmond, with whom he shared years of marriage before her passing in 2007.

He is survived by a son, Scott T. Hupp of Amity; a grandson, Jacob Miles Hupp; two sisters, Peggy Kiskadden of Warren, Ohio, and Audrey Rogers of Huntsville, Ala.; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to his wife, Mary Hupp, and parents, are a brother, Eugene Hupp; sister Yvonne Hupp; and two brothers-in-law, Jerome Kiskadden and Wesley Rogers.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 8, in the Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial donations be made to a charity of one’s choice.
