Emma E. Ewart

Emma E. Ewart, 90, of Somerset, formerly a life-long resident of Green County, and wife of the late Rev. Herbert N. Ewart, passed away peacefully, in her home after a brief illness, surrounded by her family, Saturday, April 3, 2021.

Born in Rices Landing, she was a daughter of the late John Robinson and the late Irene Bice Robinson.

Prior to her retirement, she was a steel worker in the local steel industry for many years. She enjoyed traveling by automobile, especially and frequently to her son’s home in New England, and to such places as Georgia, Nebraska and Canada.

A faithful Christian woman, Emma was a long-time and active member of Waynesburg First Church of the Nazarene. She and her late husband, the Rev. Ewart, served for many years in the Eastern District of the Church of the Nazarene in service of their Lord.

She is survived by her son, Mark N. Ewart (wife Joyce); grandsons Tyler N. Ewart (wife Stavon) and Trevor N. Ewart; her great-grandchildren, Aviana and Maddox; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Gladys Kitchen, Mabel Weiler, John Robinson, Geraldine Pollock and Samuel Robinson.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 10, in Waynesburg First Church of the Nazarene, Waynesburg.

Her funeral arrangements are in the care of the Silva-Faria Funeral Homes of Somerset, Mass.
