Jeannine M. Brown

Jeannine M. Brown, 52, of Washington, died Tuesday, April 6, 2021, in her home, following an extended illness.

She was born December 25, 1968, in West Pittston, a daughter of Mary DiCostanzo Betz of Turbotville and the late Harry R. Betz.

Jeannine was a 1986 graduate of Wyoming Area High School, where she was a member of the swim team.

She had worked as a hospitality professional in the hotel service industry as a front desk receptionist. Other employment included the restaurant industry as a waitress and cook and work in the dry-cleaning industry.

Jeannine had lived in the Pittsburgh area since 1990, residing in both Canonsburg and Washington.

She enjoyed spending time with her beloved dogs, Maddie and Zoe, home cooking, gardening and working on home remodeling and improvement projects with her fiance, Bill Congie.

In addition to her father, her husband of 20 years, Todd Brown died December 4, 2014.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are a sister, Diane Craven (John) of Turbotville; a brother, Bill Betz (Tressa) of Peckville; two nieces, Allison Craven and Brittni Reed; a nephew, Bryce Betz; her fiance, Bill Congie and his three daughters, Sara, Gina and Clairissa.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 10, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342.
