Lynn V. Bowser, 80, of Washington formerly of Canonsburg, went to be with his Lord, Wednesday, April 7, 2021.
He was born March 14, 1941 in Pittsburgh.
Mr. Bowser was a 1959 graduate of South Hills High School in Pittsburgh and attended the University of Pittsburgh.
He proudly served with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard for six years.
Lynn was a long-time member of Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder, deacon and for many years led the Small Group Bible Study.
For the bulk of his working career, he was a salesman for Benco Building Products, selling to all the lumber yards in the Pittsburgh area.
Lynn enjoyed his wife’s cooking, reading, his music and playing dominoes with the Monthly Domino Group. His life was enriched by travel to several European countries and he especially loved Italy. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.
On January 7, 1967, he married Adele Cipolone, his wife of 54 years.
Also surviving are a daughter, Lisa M. Black of Alexandria, Va.; a beloved granddaughter, Ellie Blom of Burlington, Vt.; along with an aunt, cousin, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 11, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 12, with the Rev. Donald Coleman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, 112 W. Pike Street, Canonsburg, PA 15317; or to the ALS Association, 416 Lincoln Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15209 or www.LouGehrig.com.
