George M. Sekura
George M. Sekura, 57, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Washington, passed away unexpectedly, in his home, Wednesday, April 7, 2021. He was born December 19, 1963, in Canonsburg, a son of George Sekura and the late Martha A. Strogish Sekura.
George proudly served as a United States Marine from 1981-1985. He was a member of the Christian Fellowship Center Church of God in Christ. George worked as a farmhand and a trainer in the harness racing industry.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Rhonda Koeppelle Sekura of Washington; brother Charles Sekura of Strabane; sister Lisa Miller of Cameron, W.Va.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A joint funeral service and interment for George and his mother, Martha, who passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, at the Oak Spring Cemetery Chapel, Canonsburg, with full military rites by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191 Honor Guard of Canonsburg and the United States Marines. Pastor Myron Jellison and Pastor Frank Tillman will officiate. Everyone please meet at Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services at 1:15 p.m. for procession to the cemetery.
