Raymond V. Belfiore
Raymond V. Belfiore, 84, of Washington, formerly of Lawrence, died unexpectedly, Friday, April 16, 2021, in the Washington Hospital Emergency Room. He was born October 29, 1936, in Lawrence, a son of the late Victor and Madeline Borella Belfiore.
Mr. Belfiore served in the United States Navy from 1954 until 1957 before being honorably discharged. He was employed at Ball Glass for over 20 years before going to work at Western Center in the maintenance department from where he retired. Mr. Belfiore was Roman Catholic by faith and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.
He enjoyed fishing and shooting pool and was a huge Pittsburgh Pirates and Elvis fan. Mr. Belfiore was a true family man. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
On March 13, 1965, he married Charlotte P. Young, who survives. Also surviving is a son, Darren R. Belfiore of Washington; a daughter, Tracy P. of Washington; a brother, Edward (Nancy) Belfiore of Houston; a sister, Agnes Belfiore of Lawrence; eight grandchildren, Randy, Courtney, Cassidy, Morgan, Layla, Elizabeth, Jayden and Nevaeh; three great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Jaxon and Seriah; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are two brothers, James and Larry Belfiore; and three sisters, Mary Volovich, Cecelia Petras and Eleanor Langer.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., the hour of a blessing service, Tuesday, April 20, in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Avenue, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.
