Marlene Shannon
On April 16, 2021, Marlene Shannon passed away peacefully, at home, at the age of 80. She was a daughter of the late Paul Frank and Margaret Toth Frank.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 31 years, Charles Shannon; children, Sherri Bundy, Stacy Ellis and David Hughes; and grandchildren, Emily Ellis, Jake Ellis, Caroline Ellis, Patrick Ellis, Melissa Ferramosca (Frankie), Sarah Bundy, Monica Bundy and Michelle Bundy. She was married to Donald Hughes for 24 years who predeceased her.
Marlene was a 1958 graduate of Washington High School and a 1976 graduate of the Washington Hospital School of Nursing, where she subsequently practiced for the next 23 years.
She and Charlie enjoyed golfing and getting together with friends and family. She will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by all who loved her.
A private service and Christian burial for immediate family will be held for her this week. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Washington City Mission, 84 West Wheeling Street, Washington, PA 15301.
