Opal G. Burris, 91, of Burgettstown (Hanover Township), passed peacefully Wednesday morning, April 21, 2021, in Heritage Valley Beaver. Born September 2, 1929, in Chester, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Charles and Edna Craig Roach.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Robert A. Burris, July 12, 2019; a brother, Lloyd Roach; and a sister, Delores Burris.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Robert A. and Peggy Burris of Burgettstown; a sister, Wanda (Mike) Wolanski of Hookstown; and her two granddaughters, Tammy and Bobbijean Burris.

Family and friends are welcome to call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 23, in McConnell Funeral Home, 447 Pine Street, Hookstown, where her services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 24, with the Rev. Wilmer J. Olszewski of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown.
