Frank Donald Daugherty

Frank Donald Daugherty “Don” “Doc” 88, of Canonsburg, peacefully on April 24, 2021.

He was born July 15, 1932, in Upper St. Clair, a son of the late Frank Henry and Harriet Smith Daugherty.

He entered into the Army in January of 1953 and moved to the Air Force in March of 1955. He was honorably discharged in 1960. For his service in the Korean War, he was awarded the Army Occupational Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.

In 1961, he became a policeman for Upper St. Clair. He retired as a Lieutenant in 1991. He was a Volunteer Firefighter in Upper St. Clair. He also had a building cleaning service for 60 years.

Don loved to cook and he loved to eat.

Beloved husband of the late Joyce Haley Daugherty and the late Patricia (George) Daugherty; loving father, of Shawn (Julie) and Kevin (Sharon); stepfather, of Mark, Michael, Lisa (Tom), Gina (Jeff), Chris (Pam) and Stephanie (Joseph). Cherished grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of 11.

Family and friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc. 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville 412-221-3333, where a service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m.. Memorials may be made to Upper St. Clair Volunteer Fire Department
