Susan Elizabeth Synuria Lepo
Susan Elizabeth Synuria Lepo, 88, of Clarksville, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, April 24, 2021 at Cambridge Creekside in Charleroi.
She was born April 30, 1932 in Pitt Gas, Greene County, a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Sharrers Synuria.
Mrs. Lepo was a member of the Fredericktown Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Clarksville Eagles and an active member of Saint Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Brownsville, where she was a pierogi lady.
She loved visiting family and crocheting afghans and hats for cancer patients at the Monongahela Valley Hospital Cancer Center.
She was a beautician and also a custodian and for the Bethlehem Center School District and California University of Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Lepo was a loving housewife and mother. Her husband, Emil Lepo, passed away September 12, 2000.
Loving memories of Susan will be carried on by her children, Kelly Brigode (Rebecca) of Carmichaels, Jeff Lepo (Cindy) of Chambersburg and Tait Lepo Klein (John III) of Bentleyville; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Also deceased are a son August Brigode and a daughter Pam Brigode Petritis; and three brothers and five sisters.
Friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a Parastas service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday with Reverend Father Christopher R. Burke, officiating.
A private committal service will be held at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Brownsville.
Due to the current limitations on gatherings, visitors to the funeral home will be restricted to 50 at a time. Facial coverings are required.
