Larry Herbert Simpson, 79, of Fredericktown, died Friday, April 23, 2021, in his home.
He was born February 26, 1942, in Washington, a son of the late Herbert J. and Cleda Giovannini Simpson.
A graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School, he was Roman Catholic by faith.
Mr. Simpson had worked at Rubber Rolls, Inc., Federal Paperboard Company, Inc., and Consolidation Coal, and was the owner/operator of the Riviera Restaurant in Fredericktown.
Larry was a member of the Elks Club #776 and the Arms Club. His favorite sport was visiting the casino, and he loved being anywhere around the water.
Fifty-nine years ago, on December 16, 1961, in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Roman Catholic Church, Larry married the love of his life, Anna Marie, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Robert (Elaine) Simpson; two daughters, Sherri (Dennis) Fiedler and Renee Simpson; four grandchildren, Matthew (Falisha) Fiedler, Steven (Rachael) Fiedler, Haliegh Simpson and Christopher Fiedler; and along with four great-grandchildren, Paige, John, Isaac and Evelynn, and one on the way, Brantlee.
Deceased are a son, Larry Simpson Jr.; and a great-grandson, Dallen Larry Fiedler.
Friends will be received from 3 until 6 p.m., the time of service, Wednesday, April 28, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Covid-19 precautions apply.
At the request of the deceased, burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
