Delores A. McKnight
Delores A. McKnight, 82, of Washington, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, passed away unexpectedly, in her home, Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Born August 15, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Justina and Louis Petras.
She was the beloved wife to the late Donald “Red” McKnight, who passed away June 9, 2021; loving mother to Bruce McKnight, Kimberly (Jim) McKnight, Brian McKnight and Lisa (Scott) Staso; cherished Nana to Skyler (Lyndsey Mattison) Duchess, McKenna (Daniel Kusner) Duchess, and Nathan and Nicholas Staso; loving great-grandmother to Zander Duchess and Zander Duchess; dear sister to Lucy (Richard) Senko. Delores will also be missed by her many neighbors and friends.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Emily Smith, Louie Petras and Irene Petras.
Delores was the secretary/treasurer of the West End Neighborhood Watch. She was considered the “president” of her household. She had many hobbies including making clothes and blankets and making the Christmas decorations for her Christmas tree. Delores’s passion was reading and she enjoyed swapping books with her sister. She loved to cook and created many delicious recipes of her own. Most importantly, Delores loved her kitty, Cali, and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A private memorial service will be held in Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546.
