Eric L. Wheeler
Eric L. Wheeler, 59, of Washington, died Saturday, December 4, 2021, in the Washington Hospital.
He was born January 18, 1962, in Washington, a son of Lillian B. Stringer Wheeler and the late Samuel R. Wheeler.
Eric attended Canon-McMillan High School.
He was a handyman by trade, and did an abundance of work around Pathway to Christ Baptist Church, where he was a devoted member and served as trustee.
Eric had a gift for detailing cars and was an avid Steelers fan. His greatest passion, however, was being with his mother and his siblings.
Surviving, in addition to his mother; are a son, Jamaal Greene; two brothers, John P. Wheeler, of Washington, and Pastor Joseph E. (Lisa) Wheeler, of Houston; a sister, Cynthia Wheeler-Ellis, of Canonsburg; and his lifelong friend and the mother of his son, Donna Greene; and her daughters, Jessica and Kellie; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a brother, Samuel M. Wheeler.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, the service will follow immediately, in the Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington.
