Deborah Susan Kackley
Deborah Susan Kackley, 72, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 5, 2021, after a 15 year battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born on April 29, 1949, in Long Island, at Mitchel Field Air Force Base, to the late John Hoboken and Roberta Marincov.
Deb had a large social circle with people who shared her interests. These groups included the Cherrington Place book club; the Bogey Bunch golf league, that played together every Tuesday for the last 25 years; the Grandview library staff, where she worked for many years before retiring; the Cum Christo community and Kairos Christian prison community.
But most famous to her peers and dear to her heart was “The Four Debs and a Joy,” a group of her and her best friends, who stood by each other through thick and thin.
The medical community supporting the Ovarian patients has become a part of the Kackley family and the Thursday OSU Mill Run crew of Doctors and Nurses has been our life support system for 15 years and will never be forgotten.
Deb is preceded in death by her parents, John and Roberta; and her mother’s second husband, who was the man she knew as her father, Milan Marincov.
She will be greatly missed by her husband of 48 years, Robert Kackley; children, Jeremy (Sarah), and Matthew (Simcha) Kackley; grandchildren, Camden, Julia, and Gavin; Siblings, Larry (Kathy) Hoboken, Milana (Bobby) Redlinger, and Brian (Beth) Marincov.
Arrangements entrusted to Schoedinger Dublin. A visitation will be held for Deb from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, December 13, 2021, at All Saints Lutheran Church, 6770 N. High Street, Worthington, OH 43085; followed by a memorial service at 11 am.
Inurnment will take place at 1:30 p.m. at Union Cemetery in Columbus – 3349 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH 43202.
