Joan Elizabeth Gray Elliott, 86, of Wheeling, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021, in Wheeling Hospital.
She was born October 18, 1935, in West Finley, a daughter of the late Leslie and Helen Steele Gray.
She was a member of the Elm Grove United Methodist Church and was retired from Marshall County Schools.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James Wilson Elliott.
Surviving are a daughter, Joyce and her husband, Phil Geer of Wheeling; five grandchildren, Adam Geer of Mingo Junction, Ohio, Marcus (Ayla) Geer, Sean and James Geer, all of Wheeling, and Jayna Simms of Wheeling; and great-granddaughter, Paige Wilt.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the time of service, Friday, December 17, in the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, Elm Grove, Wheeling, W.Va., (304-242-2311).
Interment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens, Sherrard, W.Va.
