Donald L. Aivalotis Sr.
Donald L. Aivalotis, 69, of Bulger, passed Tuesday, December 14, 2021.
He was born May 13, 1952, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Jack and Dorothy Aivalotis.
Don was a graduate of Fort Cherry High School Class of 1970.
He worked for the Pennsylvania Air National Guard, 171st Air Refueling Wing, as a heavy equipment, special vehicle mechanic for 33 years. He retired as a Senior Master Sergeant in 2003.
On September 22, 1972, he married, Denyse D. Blanchard, who survives.
Mr. Aivalotis enjoyed fishing on his pontoon, cars, motorcycles and riding his horse Rusty. He was a member of the Montour Valley Horseman Association.
Surviving are two sons, Dr. Donald L. (Heather) Aivalotis II, of Coraopolis, and Michael A. (Jayleen) Aivalotis, of Bulger; a brother, Daryl Aivalotis, of Stuart, Fla.; six grandchildren, Alexander, Graham, Emily, Leeam, Jaice, Ely and Henley Aivalotis.
A private interment will take place in Center Cemetery in Midway.
