Loretta Remish Forte
Loretta Remish Forte, 75, of Bentleyville, passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 15, 2021, at Concordia Hospice of Washington – Donnell House.
She was born September 3, 1946, in New Eagle, a daughter of the late Andrew John Remish and Anna R. Ivcic Remish.
She was a 1964 graduate of the Mon Valley Catholic High School.
Loretta retired from the Washington Hospital, where she worked as a secretary in the volunteer services department. Most recently, she worked as an aide for the Bentleyville Public Library.
She was a member of the Saint Katharine Drexel Parish where she served as a Eucharistic Minister.
Loretta was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Dolores 1675, and was a past Regent and a District Deputy.
Surviving are her sisters, Andrea Remish and Bernice Remish, both of Bentleyville; nephews, Joe Sekora (Traci), and Brian Morgan (Jess); great-nephew, Tristan Coyle; and great-niece Jordan Sekora.
Deceased are her husband, Michael Forte; a sister, Dolly Sekora; and a niece, Johnette Sekora.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a prayer service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, December 20, 2021, followed at 10:30 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Katharine Drexel, 126 Church Street, Bentleyville, with the Rev. Edward L. Yuhas, pastor, as celebrant.
In the funeral home and church, non-vaccinated individuals are required to wear masks or facial coverings and social distancing is to be maintained.
Interment will be in Monongahela Cemetery.
The Catholic Daughters of the Americas will pray the rosary at 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
