Freda E. Jones, 80, of Freeport, Ill., passed away, Thursday December 9, 2021, at FHN Memorial Hospital.

Freda was born April 7, 1941, in Washington, the daughter of Edward and Fannie Pratton Ruetschi.

Freda was a member of the Community Reformed Church until it closed, and has been attending services at Freeport First Free Methodist Church since. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge.

She enjoyed spending time with family, going to Church, reading her Bible, watching the Steelers and Wheel of Fortune, and listening to Elvis Presley.

Surviving family are a son, Donald Sickles, Jr. of Freeport, Ill.; 2 daughters, Tammy (Lee) Dixon, of Muse, Donna Sue Sickles, of Waynesburg; a brother, David Ruetschi; Nine grandchildren, Amanda (Bruce) Sickles, of Roscoe, Josh (Jamie) Sickles, of Dakota, Brandon Sickles, of Freeport, Ill., Dustin (Shari) Sickles, of Pearl City, Ill., Jeremy Stevens of Lancaster, Ohio, Jason Stevens of Waynesburg, Kayla (Jake) Sickles-Demnyan, Cody Sickles, and Kolby Sickles, of Prosperity; 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; and a long time friend, Ray Moritz, of Freeport, Ill..

Freda was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Jones; her parents, Edward and Fannie Pratton Ruetschi; four sisters, Gail, Violet, Thelma, and Yula; three brothers, Leo, Richard and Bennie.
