Larry Cardillo, 68, of Sturgeon, South Fayette Township, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 16, 2021, in his home.

Mr. Cardillo was born on December 14, 1953, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Edvin and Dorothy Harris Cardillo.

Larry worked as a self-employed plasterer. He founded his company, Cardillo Plastering in 1979, and through those many years, did lots of jobs all over town.

In his free time he loved to golf with his buddies. He also enjoyed trying his luck at the casino, where he played dice and slot machines.

In his younger years, he loved going fishing and hunting.

As the years went on, Larry became a grandfather. Having grandchildren changed his life. They were the most important people to him, and he loved to spend every moment that he could with them.

Surviving are his loving wife, Helen Dzera Cardillo; children, Donna (Patrick) Doyle, Lisa Barber, and Tara Cardillo; grandchildren, Kyle, Larissa, Tyler, Caitlin, Mia, and Mason; and nephew, Todd Cardillo.

Along with his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his brother, Rory Cardillo.

Friends and family were received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021, at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Avenue, McDonald 724-926-2800.

A Blessing service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, in the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Robinson Run Cemetery.
