Barbara Carmen, 80, of Denbo, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021, in her home.

She was born February 26, 1941, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late John and Katherine Golub Galensky.

Barbara previously worked at Lorain Library, a children’s home, and the Holiday Inn, both in Ohio.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening and Billy Ray Cyrus.

She was a kind and loving person, caregiver to her mother, who was bedridden for several years, caregiver to neighbors, and had a love for all animals.

Surviving are two sisters, Kathleen Marshall and Alice Anderson (Ralph), both of California; three nephews, Jeffrey Anderson, Tim Marshall (Glenn), and James Marshall (Holly); two nieces, Debra Rutherford (Frank), and Sherry Marshall; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Deceased in addition to her parents, is her husband, Terry Carmen.

All services are private, and under the direction of the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville.

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Washington Area Humane Society, P.O. Box 66, Eighty Four, PA 15330.
