William P. Congie, 78, of Houston, passed away unexpectedly, in his home, Sunday, December 26, 2021.

He was born April 1, 1943, in Houston, a son of the late Dominick and Elizabeth Ranko Congie.

Bill was a graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School, and was employed at McGraw-Edison and Cooper Power Systems in Canonsburg.

He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish in Canonsburg and Sunset Lodge #237 F&AM in Washington where he was a Past Master.

Mr. Congie enjoyed spending time with his family and taking his boat fishing on Lake Erie.

On November 19, 1960, he married his high school sweetheart, Darlene “Dolly” Durish who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Bill Congie, Jr., of Washington, Rob Congie (Debby), of Canonsburg, and Joe Congie, of Houston; five grandchildren, Sarah, Clairissa, Gina, Kaley and Joe Jr.; a great-granddaughter, Charli; a sister, Patricia French of Anaheim Hills, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

A son, Jeffrey Congie is deceased.

At the request of the deceased, all services will be private.
