Jill A. Shook, 73, of Muse, died Wednesday, January 27, 2021.

She was born March 9, 1947, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Raymond and Amelia Krieger Shook.

Prior to her retirement, she worked as an elementary teacher at several elementary schools in the Canon-McMillan School District. She was president of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Council in Canonsburg; a member of the Canonsburg Ministerial Association, she served on several Southwestern Pennsylvania Synod committees and was a member of the Canonsburg Business and Professional Women’s Organization. She volunteered for the Community Scholarship Foundation of Canon-McMillan and since 2019 she was the president of directors of Camp Agape. She was proud of being a part of her community and was an active member of numerous civic and social organizations in Canonsburg.

Surviving are her niece and godchild, Raquel Gilpin of Canonsburg; her niece, Cherisse Sachs of Cranberry Township; her nephew, Ralph (Noemi) Abbondanza of Herndon, Virginia; great-nephew, Aaron Gilpin; and great-nieces, Aaliyah Gilpin and Isabella Abbondanza. She will be sorely missed by her precious, furry companion, Harley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond C. Shook Jr.

Due to uncertainties associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no public visitation and services are private. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
