Donnis J. Beadling, formerly of Bentleyville, passed away peacefully, February 2, 2021, in Mon Valley Care Center, where she had made her home for the last few years.

Donnis was born June 4, 1936, in Bentleyville, a daughter of the late Roy and Alberta McGary Lane. A 1954 graduate of Bentleyville High School, she worked at the Somerset School prior to having a 20 year tenure in SKC Inc.’s Shipping/Receiving Department, retiring in 1999.

On October 3, 1964, she married Harry Beadling and celebrated 43 years of happiness until his passing in 2007.

Donnis was a devout Christian and worshiped at Garwood Baptist Church.

You could often see her with crochet hooks in hand as she would make scarves and blankets for the ones she loved. Her outgoing personality made it easy for her to make friends, as she did so often. Her greatest joy was spending time with family, both close and extended. She shared her beautiful voice in church choirs, community theater and at weddings, often having duetted with her son Steven. And she never missed a chance to cheer on her Pittsburgh Steelers. On most nice summer days, you could catch Donnis outside, sharing the swing with one of her pets.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Michael (Sarah) Marshman of Fallowfield Township, Timothy Marshman of Charleroi, George “Bill” Marshman of Perryopolis, Evelyn “Kitty” (Scott) Drass of Bentleyville and Steven Beadling of Charleroi; grandchildren, Terri (Shawn) Marchewka and Michael Marshman Jr.; great-grandchildren, Sabrina Richards, Samuel Marchewka and Michael Marshman III; her siblings, Robert (Lisa) Lane of Canonsburg, Ruth Gauthier of Santa Clarita, California, Howard (Barb) Lane of Uchland, Rosemary Becker of Wilmerding and Roy (Sherri) Lane of Homosasso, Florida. Donnis will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are siblings, Dennis Lane, David Lane and Leona Priesendorfer; a daughter, Amanda “Mandy” Beadling; a grandson, Eric Marshman; and a brother-in-law, Richard Gautier.

The family would like to extend its gratefulness to the staff at Mon Valley Care Center for their loving care to Donnis.

Due to COVID-19, a private visitation will be held Friday, February 5, in the Greenlee’s Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville. There will also be a family gathering this summer to remember Donnis and the smiles that she brought to all of us.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Beadling family c/o Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, PA 15314.
