Paul J. Chasko

Paul J. Chasko, 83, of Finleyville, died Friday, February 5, 2021, in his home.

He was born November 18, 1937, in Charleroi, a son of Paul and Vincenia Vadovic Chasko.

Mr. Chasko was retired as an electrical engineer with the former Westinghouse Corporation in Large and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville, the Resurrection Choir and Knights of Columbus.

He was a writer and photographer for the Union-Finley Messenger and served as a member of the Union Township Board of Supervisors and Boy Scout leader.

Paul was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed gardening.

Surviving are his wife, Norma Jean Poteray Chasko, with whom he celebrated 63 years of marriage September 28, 2020; six children, Denise Leoni (Louis) of Monongahela, Paul Chasko (Kimberly) of Brunswick, Ohio, Shari Cola (Gerald) of Clairton, Angela Kampert (Joseph) of Canton, Ohio, Kenneth Chasko (Yvonne) of McKeesport and Mark Chasko (Lori) of Finleyville; a brother, Jerome Chasko (Stella) of Salem, N.Y.; 18 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 8, in Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville. Services and interment will be private.
