Wayne Hayman
Wayne Hayman, 66, of Hendersonville, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 6, 2021, in his home. He was born February 24, 1954, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Louis Francis and Evelyn McChesney Hayman.
Wayne was raised in Hendersonville and was a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School. He was Protestant by faith. He had been employed at Mayview State Hospital as a forensic security officer, where he met his beloved wife of 19 years. On May 2, 1998, he married Christine Gurba-Hayman, who passed away April 15, 2017.
He was an avid Rolling Stones fan, traveling the country to attend their concerts. He and his wife, Christine also enjoyed extended car trips taking them all over the United States. Wayne cherished the time he spent with his family and also enjoyed spending time with his nephews golfing and rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his brother, Harry (Betty Jo) Hayman of Hendersonville; sisters Sarah (Toby) Andrews of McDonald, Mina (David) Higgins of Canonsburg, Nancy Rush of Port Vue, Debbie Neswald of Port Charlotte, Fla., Susie (Art) Martin of Derry, Donna Martin of Hendersonville and Mary Lou (Edward) Cain of Canonsburg; stepdaughters Karin L. Lang and her husband, Jim of Ashburn, Va., and Rebecca L. Cooper and her husband, Roy of Henderson, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his wife and parents, are his two brothers, Louis R. “Frog” Hayman and Kenneth Hayman.
Friends and family are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner / supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 11.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
