Suzanne Elizabeth Rye Barbour, 66, of Orlando, Florida, peacefully passed away in her home, January 12, 2021.

Suzie was born May 22, 1954, to Frances and James Rye of Carmichaels. After graduating from high school she attended Penn State University.

She moved to Orlando and worked at Walt Disney World. Suzie then pursued a career in hotel sales and event management.

Suzie and Frank Barbour were married for 35 years having two children, Frank (Rye) Barbour and Lauren Barbour. As stay-at-home mom, family was the center of Suzie’s life. She was an award winning seamstress, designing and sewing dance costumes for her daughter’s dance group.

She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and, as a stanch Democrat, debating politics.

Suzie was a wonderful mother, wife and sister. She was a friend to many.

Suzie was predeceased by her parents, James and Frances Rye; and is survived by her husband, Frank; children, Rye and Lauren; and her brother, Jim.
