A seamstress by training, Maria enjoyed fashion and brought her artistic talents to many creative endeavors including oil painting, gardening, knitting and baking. She loved to travel overseas with her husband and family including trips to Europe, Jerusalem, Constantinople, Egypt and other destinations. She enjoyed annual summers in the village with her family and ensured that her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren visited often.
